Hadimba Temple

It has glimpses of very old artistic culture  and history and this has added to its beauty to a great extent.

Dating returned to the sixteenth century, Hadimba Devi Temple become built via Raja Bahadur Singh as a tribute to Hadimba, the wife of Bhima from the epic Mahabharata. Mata Hadimba Devi Temple in manali is one of the main attractions of manali.

I visited the temple in December in the peak season. You can get auto rickshaws from mall road to the temple but I strolled around and trekked through the natural beauty to reach the temple. Traffic can be a major problem during peak seasons so better to walk and have a good trek it is at a walkable distance from the mall road. You can either reach the temple by road from which autos and cars go, or there is a stairs route for visitors as well.

I went through that.Throughout the route, you will encounter many little food stalls, local dress photographs, rabbits and goats for photos, shopping stalls, etc. So the journey will not be boring at all, also best to take stairs if one enjoys natural beauty, by walking amid the forest.

After reaching the temple, water facility is readily available, shoe racks are present, and you can visit the main shrine by going inside the temple.

There is also a small Ghatotkach mandir nearby where you can pay a visit.

Tibetan Monastery

The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa was in 1969. The structure of the monastery represents the Tibetan fashion of structure designed with hued frescoes. The statue of the Lord Buddha presides within the monastery. The Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa is located near the market region in Manali.

The Buddhist Monastery in Manali is a beautiful place to calm yourself from the chaos of the city. The silent chants of the hymns give peace of mind. There are paintings inside the temple that depict the life of lord Buddha. The monastery is very close to mall road or bus stop so you can visit there in a few minutes.
